English Language Arts

1st Grade Language Arts – Coming soon!

Grab your compass and gear up for a camping trip! In this course, students will go on a reading adventure where they will learn sight words and develop skills in writing, vocabulary, comprehension, phonics, and more. Students will learn to read and write by understanding how letters and letter combinations make certain sounds. Join Cameron the Camper as he uses question words, his spelling backpack, and other fun tools to dive deeper into reading! Recommended for ages 5-6.

2nd Grade Language Arts 

Calling all environmentalists! In this course, students will follow Ninovan, the Environmental Scientist, on a learning adventure. Students will explore writing, grammar, phonics, and more. They will practice sight words and reading fluency, learn reading comprehension skills with both literature and informational texts, and go through the writing process with expository, narrative, and opinion-based writing. Recommended for ages 6-7. (1 credit) $975

3rd Grade Language Arts

In Language Arts Grade Three, students will engage in a variety of topics as they explore the world of reading and writing. Students will learn foundational skills, cursive writing, vocabulary, reading comprehension, grammar, and the writing process as they write narratives, expository, and opinion essays. In this course, students will participate in engaging lessons that include interactives, informational and literature texts, graphic organizers, videos, and various practice activities. Topics range from healthy habits and overcoming obstacles to mysteries. Recommended for ages 7-8. (1 credit) $975

4th Grade Language Arts

In Language Arts Grade 4, students will engage in a variety of topics as they explore the world of reading and writing. Students will put their skills to work as they learn all about word construction, cursive writing, spelling, context clues, vocabulary, reading comprehension, grammar, and the writing process. They will write narrative, expository, and argumentative essays. In this course, students will participate in engaging lessons that include interactives, informational and literature texts, graphic organizers, videos, and various practice activities. Topics vary from making healthy choices to showing compassion to solving mysteries. Students will have the opportunity to investigate animals in the jungle, explore the beauties of nature, and read classic literature as they navigate through this rainforest-themed course. 5th Grade Language Arts

Mathematics

1st Grade Mathematics – Coming soon!

In this course, students will be able to understand the place value of two-digit whole numbers, extend their understanding of addition and subtraction and the relationship between them, develop an understanding of measurement, money, and time, and categorize, compose, and decompose geometric figures. Through learning, students will problem-solve and use critical thinking, communication, and collaboration skills through interactive and engaging on-screen and off-screen activities. By the end of the course, students will have a strong grasp of basic math skills, which will ensure they are ready for their next academic journey. Recommended for ages 5-6.

2nd Grade Mathematics 

In Math Grade 2, students develop their skills in solving one- and two-step word problems using addition and subtraction within 100. The course emphasizes continued growth in understanding place value, focusing on hundreds, tens, and ones. This foundational knowledge supports students as they learn to add and subtract within 1,000 using a variety of strategies. Additional key areas of study include classifying two-dimensional shapes, recognizing lines of symmetry, and applying mathematical concepts to money, time, measurement, perimeter, and graphing data. Recommended for ages 6-7. (1 credit) $975

3rd Grade Mathematics – Coming November 2026

In Math Grade Three, students will use math strategies to explore four areas, including adding and subtracting multi-digit whole numbers, building an understanding of multiplication and division, developing an understanding of fractions, and extending geometric reasoning to lines and attributes of quadrilaterals. Students will see the relationship between multiplication and division as they learn to multiply and divide within 144 to solve real-world problems. Students will define attributes of quadrilaterals and develop an understanding of fractions and area. Other engaging activities include learning about data, time, and measurement. Recommended for ages 7-8. (1 credit) $975

4th Grade Mathematics

In Math Grade 4, students will multiply and divide multi-digit whole numbers using different strategies and a standard algorithm. The course provides the opportunity for students to see the relationship between fractions and decimals and introduces addition and subtraction of each. Using a protractor to draw and measure angles is another focus of the course. Other engaging activities include learning about measurement, and using median, mode, and range as ways to interpret data. Recommended for ages 8-9. (1 credit) $975

5th Grade Mathematics

In Math Grade 5, instructional time will emphasize five areas: (1) multiplying and dividing multi-digit whole numbers, including using a standard algorithm; (2) adding and subtracting fractions and decimals with procedural fluency, developing an understanding of multiplication and division of fractions and decimals; (3) developing an understanding of the coordinate plane and plotting pairs of numbers in the first quadrant; (4) extending geometric reasoning to include volume and (5) extending understanding of data to include the mean. In Science Grade One, students develop a foundational understanding of concepts across many types of sciences including Earth and Space Science, Life Science, and Physical Science. Through exploring, making and comparing observations, describing, modeling, and demonstrating, students learn about force and motion, space, Earth, changes to Earth’s surface, gravity, basic needs of living things, plants, water, parents and offspring, and living and nonliving things. Recommended for ages 5-6.

2nd Grade Science

Science Grade Two is a foundational course that covers concepts in Earth and Space Science, Life Science, and Physical Science through scientific inquiry. Students engage in scientific learning through observing, interacting with materials, and asking questions as they explore new scientific concepts. In Earth and Space Science, students learn about weather, rocks and soil, and the Sun’s energy. Life Science covers the human body, the basic needs of plants and animals, and life cycles. In Physical Science, students learn about the properties of objects, states and changes of materials, changes in motion, and forms of energy. Recommended for ages 6-7. (1 credit) $975

3rd Grade Science – Coming November 2026

Science Grade Three is an intermediate course with concepts across many types of sciences, including Earth Science, Life Science, and Physical Science. Through asking questions, making predictions, making and comparing observations, making inferences, working with others to conduct investigations, explaining the results of investigations, developing models, constructing arguments, and making claims, students will learn about gravity, stars, forms of energy, motion, heat and light, properties and changes in matter, plant structures and functions, plant responses, plant and animal classification, and adaptations. 4th Grade Science

Science Grade 4 is an intermediate course with concepts across many types of sciences, including Earth Science, Life Science, and Physical Science. Students will learn about magnets, motion of objects, energy, properties of matter, physical weathering and erosion, rocks and minerals, plant and animal life, heredity, resources and the environment, seasonal changes, and Earth’s movement. Recommended for ages 8-9. (1 credit) $975

5th Grade Science

Science Grade Five is an intermediate course with concepts across many types of sciences, including Earth Science, Life Science, and Physical Science. Through experiences including defining problems, conducting investigations, using the scientific method, using evidence, asking questions, making predictions, making and comparing observations, making inferences, using the engineering design process, and developing models, students learn about properties of and changes in matter; atoms; mixtures; energy; forms of energy; force and motion; galaxies and the solar system; the water cycle; weather and climate; the human body organs and functions; organism structure, function, and comparison; adaptations; and ecosystems. 2nd Grade Social Studies 

In Social Studies Grade 2, students will study Who We Are as Americans. Second-grade students will investigate the impact of immigration over time in the United States, explore the geography of North America, and discover the foundations of American citizenship. 3rd Grade Social Studies

The Grade 3 Social Studies curriculum consists of the following content area strands: American History, Geography, Economics, and Civics. Third grade students will learn about North America and the Caribbean. They will focus on the regions of the United States, Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean Islands. Their study will include physical and cultural characteristics as they learn about our country and its neighbors. Recommended for ages 7-8. (.5 credits) $600

4th Grade Social Studies

In Social Studies Grade 4, students explore the important people, places, and events that shaped the state in which they live. Fifth grade students will study the development of our nation with emphasis on the people, places, and events up to approximately 1850. Students will be exposed to the historical, geographic, political, economic, and sociological events that influenced the initial inhabitation, exploration, colonization, and early national periods of American history. Art

In Art Grade One, students will learn about the Elements of Art, art techniques, and master artists. As they learn about master artists, such as Vincent van Gogh, Henri Matisse, and Maria Merian, they will have the opportunity to experiment with similar art techniques. Exploring with art techniques like painting, printmaking, and mixing medias is a fundamental aspect of the course and connects the students to the Elements of Art and the master artists they are learning about. Recommended for ages 5-6.

Learn how to create mixed media art or observe Chokwe masks from Africa! In this course, students will learn the Elements of Art and Principles of Design while they explore art from the past and present. From abstract art by Sonia Delaunay to the organic glass sculptures of Dale Chihuly, students will learn art techniques that will fuel their creative spirit. Recommended for ages 7-8. 4th Grade Art

Embark on a musical journey with our Music Grade 3 course. This dynamic and engaging course helps students deepen their understanding of music. Students will explore musical concepts such as dynamics and tempo, along with a variety of musical styles and instruments. 5th Grade Music – Coming January 2027

Get ready to explore the creative world of music! Our fifth-grade students learn to compose, perform, and appreciate various musical styles. They discover the cultural significance of music throughout history, connecting it to other fields of study. As they develop essential skills, they also explore music’s impact on local and global communities.  Recommended for ages 9-10.
